Next Wave Reports
Supplementary note: Business potential in the Nordic Region
While the Next Nordic Green Transport Wave project ended in 2021, the rapid development of the business potential in the Nordic region necessitated an update of the data in this supplementary note which was added in February 2022.
Detailed analysis for large scale hydrogen transport in Finland
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, has studied the deployment of hydrogen trucks and infrastructure in the Nordic. In this report, analysis on large-scale transport of hydrogen with mobile pipeline from hydrogen production points to consumer locations is described.
Deployment of hydrogen trucks and infrastructure in the Nordic
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, has studied the deployment of hydrogen trucks and infrastructure in the Nordic. The report includes recommended actions to stimulate the demand, leading to our vision for the deployment of trucks in the Nordics by 2025 and 2030, emphasizing the necessary cross-border infrastructure.
Prospectus of using hydrogen in heavy-duty
equipment, including non-road mobile machinery
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, has studied how Ports can be a good option for initial uptake of NRMM and HD equipment as they are serviced by trucks which soon might demand hydrogen as fuel. That could open an opportunity for hydrogen powered NRMM and HD equipment.
Hydrogen transport from large-scale production points to Nordic consumers
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, has – based on available commercial transport solutions – studied the maximum amounts of hydrogen that could be transported on Nordic roads revealing significant differences among the countries due to transport regulations.
Perspectives and potentials for hydrogen & fuel cell buses in the nordic region
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, has in this analysis given five recommendations for implementation of hydrogen and fuel cell buses: infrastructure, comprehensive strategies, investments, scale and a strengthening of Nordic collaboration.
Nordic transport regulations for large-scale hydrogen transport
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, has in this report analysed the most important boundary conditions for hydrogen transport from centralised production plants to hydrogen refuelling stations or industrial users, in each of the Nordic countries.
Large-scale hydrogen use in nordic industry 2020 – 2030
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, finds in this publication significant possibilities for expansion of hydrogen use for new applications and for replacing current fossil fuel-based hydrogen production by low carbon hydrogen, in all Nordic countries.
Available by-product hydrogen in the Nordic countries
The Next Wave consortium, supported by Nordic Innovation, presents an overview of the availability of by-product hydrogen in Finland, Sweden and Norway (no such sites in Iceland or Denmark). With exception of a few sites in Finland the utilisation of this hydrogen is very high.
